MEP systems are the heart and soul of a building. Comfort and operability is impossible without good MEP design. It is therefore important that all facets of the buildings planned and potential use must be considered when developing designs, in order to identify and implement compliant and cost effective solutions to meet the needs of the buildings occupants.
MEP encompasses every system that occupants need or use within a building, including heating, cooling, ventilation, food preparation and hygiene facilities, waste removal, system controls, lighting, power, life safety systems, energy monitoring, fuel delivery and transportation systems. The core elements of safety, minimizing operating costs, environmental sustainability and maintainability of the design are critical elements which need to be considered from the outset and implemented within every aspect of the design and installation.
